Orthopedic Surgeon Specializing in Hip Preservation & Sports Medicine
A proud Arizona native, Dr. Laura Vogel recently returned to the Valley of the Sun to join TOCA at Banner Health, where she specializes in hip preservation and sports medicine. Dr. Vogel attended the University of Arizona as a National Merit Scholar and graduated summa cum laude. She received her doctorate of medicine at Columbia University in New York, where she also explored her interest in orthopedics during an elective research year. Dr. Vogel opted to stay at Columbia University to complete her orthopedic surgery residency and, during her time there, continued her research pursuits and served as a team physician at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Dr. Vogel then completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the University of Connecticut, where she focused on open and arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, knee, and hip, wrote numerous book chapters and scientific articles, and served as an assistant team physician for the Huskies. Her final year of training was spent at the University of Colorado furthering her expertise in open and arthroscopic techniques in hip preservation surgery. In her free time, Dr. Vogel enjoys endurance running and triathlons, mountaineering, scuba diving, CrossFit, and gastronomy.
